Artist Bio

Chris Pash

(Longmont, CO)

Painter

Bio in a nutshell: A 4th generation Colorado native, Chris has been drawing since the age of 3. Her combined talents led her to earn her BA from the University of Northern Colorado, in Theatre Arts and Fine Arts. In her years B.C. (before children) she displayed her art throughout Colorado, including the Steamboat Springs Art Festival. Most recently she had her own wall-mural & faux-finish business, but has returned to doing her fine art. Her main medium has been watercolor, but she is returning to acrylics because of its versatility. She is pleased to be part of the Longmont community, having moved here a year ago.

The story of how you first got artsy: My father was an artist, so I inherited his talent (and his old supplies from 1948, some of which I still have!).

Any published artwork? One of my loves is cartooning, and I have illustrated several small pamphlets, brochures, etc. I am currently working with a children’s book writer.

Influences: I learned so much from each art teacher I ever had.

Words for your fans? I have a saying posted in my studio: “The question is not what you look at, but what you see.” by Henry David Thoreau. I try to apply this to my everyday tasks, looking at things from an artistic point of view.
